I teach Hatha Yoga and specialize in teaching Restorative/Adaptive Yoga and Chair Yoga in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Restorative/Adaptive Yoga and Chair Yoga are Hatha Yoga methods that are tailored to the individual’s needs, adapted to considerations of individual functionality, and supportive of an individual’s health and wellness goals. For instance, Restorative/Adaptive Yoga is superb for helping those with osteoarthritis (OA) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA), along with numerous other conditions: stress management, chronic pain management, help with sleep quality, etc. This type of yoga is gentle, deeply relaxing, and is practiced at a pace adapted to the individual learner’s needs. Chair Yoga is for those who work while sitting or who have considerations of mobility or physical function.

I have well over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training, have been a Registered Nurse since 1978, and have lived with osteoarthritis and a chronic pain condition since 1997. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (CYA-E-RYT GOLD, Canadian Yoga Alliance), have taught yoga for 15 years, and have practiced yoga for well over 25 years.

My classes are small, affordable, and my teaching style is supportive and uplifting.
